Can the backend UI for a custom taxonomy be RADIO BUTTONS?
I want to enforce that only ONE term can be selected per post.
Thank you for reaching out.
Yes, you can use the field type taxonomy with the select type radio. Get more details on the documentation https://docs.metabox.io/fields/taxonomy/
I didn't get how to make this work.
Here is what I want to make:
I want to be able to select only one custom taxonomy, instead of having a multi-check list, I want to have a radio list or a single selector.
Please follow these steps to make it works:
Disable option "Show on edit page" when creating the custom taxonomy
Use the field taxonomy and select the field type: radio list
thanks for your reply.
I have followed the steps you suggested me, but now the custom taxonomy don't show in the post edit section, therefore I cannot select them.
To be more clear:
I have ticked the "Whether to show the taxonomy on the edit page." in the custom taxonomy I have created.
Then I added the taxonomy field to the custom fields I made for that custom taxonomy.
As you can see here:
Am I doing something wrong?
Can you please share some screenshots when you edit the post? You can see a demo video here https://monosnap.com/file/PVeNl9V4v2sK1eFw4AGiR2eizHJWnU
Thanks a lot for the video! Now it is clear to me how it works!
I just followed the steps in the video, and now it works.
Many thanks for your help!
