ParticipantHi Peter,
thanks you very much for taking the time to reply. Here are links to screenshots of some of the things you have asked about:

Do these look correct? Since I wrote my initial question I've removed all of the Categories from 'Posts' as I was unsure if they share the same slugs, and therefore caused a problem. I think taxonomies take the place of categories - is that correct?
If everything is correct, though, how do I get a menu of topics to show in the sidebar? I can only seem to add widgets, and there is no widget I can find for displaying MB Taxonomies.
The site is now totally stripped down to only the Twenty Twenty Theme and Meta Box so it looks a mess! I had been using the Astra Theme with the Astra Pro plugin and the Beaver Builder Standard page builder. Sorry to say I've never got the hang of the Block Builder so don't know much about adding a sidebar etc in this view.
Does any of this help and would it be useful if you had administrator access to the site? You may not offer that but I'm happy to do so if it helps me move this forward.
Very many thanks for helping,
Chris

ParticipantThanks Peter,
that's very helpful and saves me hours of head-scratching! I'll just give those homilies their own post type and though I presume there will probably be some SEO unhappiness initially once the domain is transferred I guess it will settle fairly soon.
Very grateful for your help and clarity.
All the best,
Chris
