Same here,
For me, this happens when using a group blog and having required fields inside.
Saving is not possible as there appears to be a hidden version of the group item in the generated HTML that fails validation.
Removing requirements on the group fields solves it for me, but this is only a temporary solution.
This is happening with the UI builder from Metabox, so there is not a coding issue on my end
