Hi Peter, small side note if I do the same for let's say the thumbnail field it doesn't show on the backend as the featured image... Is it supposed to be like that?

It seems that was the issue. Thanks.

Yes, I've added the id to the field group settings. See here:

Also tried adding it to the Custom Settings using "id" but didn't work either.

Is this something that will be added in the future?

Would we be able to add the post selector to a clonable group when the option "Set as parent" is turned off?

In addition to the post above this one:
After some testing the title of the post will now be "(No Title)" after making a text field and setting the ID to post_title. This doesn't work.

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply, would this keep all current already created posts?
    Thanks in advance.

The answer has been found by Anh Tran.

The CPT option: Query var needs to be enabled, after this the CPT Permalinks plugin needs to be disabled and permalinks need to be saved twice.

The CPT Permalinks plugin does not handle child CPT's well. However, this didn't explain the post still not working after disabling the plugin, that issue lays in the Query var option.

    Sorry! I thought I already answered #43684.
Here are links where the issue can be seen:

Strange that the streamable link doesn't seem to work for you.
    Maybe try this link instead:

    Hi Sridhar,
Here is the video you requested:

Hopefully my set up makes some sense.
I've played with all the possible checkboxes, but to no avail.

You want a screencast of me showing when it stops working?

    Hmmm super strange.
Here's a full set up of my CPT and Character relationship:

I'm not sure where it goes wrong, but even after disabling the permalink plugin it doesn't work.

Please provide more information. How is your CPT set up, how is your taxonomy set up. Did you link them, if yes, how did you link them, from the CPT side, Taxonomy side or both?

The information you've given is not enough to be of help.

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply. Please note the text "Things I've tried" and it's points.
    I've already tried your suggestions.

    Kind regards,
    Roel
