ParticipantI was in contact with the theme developer and they offered a code snippet solution. They are discussing whether to implement it into the theme code.
this is what they gave me and it worked for Blocksy
https://wpdevdesign.com/how-to-add-cpt-entries-in-author-archives/Thank you for looking into it with me.

Participantjust another example I want to show. You can see this author has 4 posts (journal posts) assigned to him, but they don't show in the results

ParticipantHi Peter,
I sent this to them to and i'll ask them that. I wanted to reach out to you also because I wasn't sure if there was a way to connect the CPT to the user ID that I select for the Journal. Like I show in the video, it detects that the author has both post types, but doesn't show in the results, nor in the user post count.
Thanks,

ParticipantI got it to work when I created a new field using the "url" field type. I just don't understand why it won't work using the file_input field. I guess I can use both, but I thought it would be easier to have only one field option.

ParticipantHi Peter,
Thanks for looking. I did figure out how to add it. I used a file input field instead of a file__advanced field. That seemed to make a difference
What I can't figure out now is how to add the pdf download to the Category page. I have it set up on the archive page, but I also have a category page that I'm using for the individual Issue. This shows the category that certain articles are added to. I was able to put the cover image in and the header image for the category, but it doesn't see to want to read the PDF that I'd like someone to download.
Here is an example. I tried using the "Insert Field" feature that creates this tag {{ term.pdf_download }}
But it doesn't display the PDF url, just an array.
The Download button is where the PDF should be showing for each issue.

ParticipantInterestingly, I asked wpstackable and they approved the request to add the MB Setting Page fields to the development list! That will be pretty great right?

Participantdo you know of a gutenberg plugin that supports site setting fields? I switched from Beaver Builder which has extensive support, to gutenberg and it is not as advanced. I'm using WP Stackable which has support for CPTs with gutenberg. I've asked them many times if they can support Site Settings but they basically told me no. Thanks!

Participantthank you! that worked. I will play around with that.

ParticipantHi Long,
I was wondering if I can follow up again on this inquiry from last year. I'm still trying to add site settings to my sites so I can have a global settings page. Not sure why it's not connecting. I made a short video showing what I'm seeing.. If you need access let me know.

ParticipantHi Long,
I looked over the documentation you suggested.
I'm having a similar issue. Mine is a simple subtitle that I added to a page. In the old editor it shows, but in Gutenberg it disappeared.
I created a plugin using MB so the original design is gone and is just the code now in the plugin.
How do I find the context setting? Should that be in the code I already have for the plugin?
Is this done using Views? I'm a little confused. Thanks!

ParticipantHi Long,
wow, that seems like a lot of work. I've built almost 75 websites using the color option built into the templates. This means going through every page and fixing all the banners and buttons for each site. That's hours of work I didn't ask for. I love the plugin, but this worries me that another change like this might happen in the future and I'll be stuck again adding unwanted work to my load of projects.
Is there no other way?

ParticipantHi Long, That sounds like a plan. I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do. Do I do something to the site-settings plugin that I created, or is this something that needs updated in the metabox beaver themer integrator plugin?

ParticipantHi Long,
Thanks so much for you help looking at this issue. The footer is working as you show, but the other parts are breaking the metabox settings still. I've made this screenshare showing what is happening which might shed a little more light into the issue.

Thanks.

ParticipantHi, just wanted to follow up on this to see if you have any thoughts. Every time I update beaver builder it kills my metabox color settings.
Thanks
