Do you have any examples of how to do this - the documentation just really doesn't help to get an idea of what to do for someone who is relatively inexperienced?!

What am I doing wrong? This has also caused problems with plugin updates and a couple of other things.
How would you go about adding a recurring item that is date/week/month specific if you did not want to use yet another third-party plugin?
