ParticipantHere is a screenshot of all metabox plugins and their versions. This is after we reverted the site after updating all the metabox plugins to the latest versions. https://share.zight.com/d5uXb8mr
ParticipantWe reverted the site to a state from before updating the metabox plugins. Now when we go into a beaver module it has the connections. https://share.zight.com/4gu8zNvn
It appears certain that the updates broke the connections.
So the question now is, how do we make metabox updates without breaking these connections?
ParticipantNever mind, I realized that I do not need to use a shortcode. Instead, insert the color value field through the field connection.

ParticipantNevermind, we figured it out. We didn't have any custom fields on the post type - so naturally there was nothing there to select in the themer connection field

ParticipantHi Thanks for your response and for the links. Yes, we are already using wp all import so we are aware of how to import data. The question was specifically about claneable fields. What is the format? How are values separated? Can they be imported in one cell with seperators like commas? Or do they need their own file?

We were inserting the code via "snippets" plugin. Plugin was set to run snippet only on admin. When revising this to run everywhere pencil5 now shows in both the customizer and wpadmin.Pencile2 was not created through snippets plugin so the question about pencil2 still remains.

So it seems the "menu type" setting on metabox is being ignored.

I even reset the style to noboxes, resaved and still pencil2 doesn't appear in wpadmin

Pencil5 - shows on wp admin - not on customizer
Well it does but only for a second, then disappears. I see CSS is set to display none.
I created it purely through code (not through admin UI).
