I was able to find out what the issue was, and was able to resolve it by going into the chrome editor (inspect)
(then deleting the 'value' for the first/selected option and thus saving no region as selected)

There was no 'empty' option at the start of the region selection, so it defaulted to United States - I think maybe between the last update and now, but not completely sure.

If the issue comes back, I will let you know.

Sorry, heard from a friend who helped me that we made that ourselves. And can't seem to edit/delete the post.

So maybe a better question is, how is the function name saved?
