Hi all,

I’m working in Elementor and I’m trying to display custom taxonomy term meta inside a loop carousel, but I can only get the built in taxonomy data to render.

Setup

I have:

A custom post type called Services
A custom taxonomy called Service Category
Additional Meta Box custom fields added to the taxonomy terms, including:
Category Name
Brief
Image

These fields are meant to power a custom card layout for each service category.

What I built

I created a custom card loop in Elementor and I’m using it inside a Loop Carousel on the homepage.

The query is set to pull Service Category terms.

Inside the card, I’m trying to use dynamic tags to output:

Taxonomy term name
Taxonomy description
Meta Box custom field values like the custom brief and image
What works

These pieces are working:

The term link works when I link to the post or term URL
The archive title / term name displays
The archive description displays
What is not working

The Meta Box custom fields attached to the taxonomy terms do not display inside the loop item.

So in short:

Native taxonomy data renders
The taxonomy term URL works
Meta Box term fields do not render in the Elementor loop/card
What I’ve tried

I’ve already:

Added the taxonomy fields in Meta Box
Confirmed the values are saved on the taxonomy terms
Used Elementor dynamic tags
Tried selecting the Meta Box field in the card template
Confirmed the loop is querying the correct taxonomy terms
What I suspect

It feels like either:

Elementor’s loop item is not passing the taxonomy term context correctly to the Meta Box field
Or I’m missing a setting that tells Elementor to pull term meta instead of post meta
My question

How do I get Meta Box custom fields attached to taxonomy terms to render inside an Elementor Loop Carousel / Loop Item that is querying taxonomy terms?

Is there a specific dynamic tag setting, context setting, or compatibility limitation I need to handle here?
