    Hi!

Many of our posts have subtitles which usually follow under title. We want this data saved as a special field. We thought we can use a custom field with "after_title" context, but this option does not appear. Looking through support tickets there seem to be a compatibility issue with the block editor which has not been resolved yet.

Could you please advise what we can do? Having this field under content is not very convenient. On the side as well. Is it possible to build a custom block with custom input field? I cannot figure it out, it looks like only static content custom blocks can be created.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The block editor (Gutenberg) does not support the context after_title. We've created a note on the documentation https://docs.metabox.io/creating-meta-boxes/#contexts

If you want to use all contexts, please use the classic editor https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/

    Thanks, Long!

Is it possible to create a custom block an editor can add in such cases, but the data from that block should be saved in a custom field? I tried creating a block, but it seems only with static content and it does not allow any inputs.

    Hi,

Do you mean to create custom blocks with block fields (inputs) and save the block fields data as the custom fields in the table wp_postmeta?

    Please follow the documentation
    https://metabox.io/plugins/mb-blocks/
    https://docs.metabox.io/extensions/mb-blocks/#storage_type
