ParticipantHello,
I'm developing a new site where I will have a large number of posts and I'm adding various categories to them. I'm pretty sure it's set up properly - the categories are visible in the 'Posts' menu on the left sidebar. and on each individual post I've created in MetaBox.
In the 'Categories' widget on the right sidebar the categories all show fine, and the number of each seems to be correct. But when I click on any of them I get a search page with the message "It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help."
The site I'm developing can be seen here: https://openhouse.websitesforchurches.org/ - open any of the articles from the page to see the Categories sidebar or use this example: https://openhouse.websitesforchurches.org/issue330/questions-for-legislators/
I'd be grateful for any help trying to make sense if this.

ModeratorHello Chris,
Thanks for reaching out.
I check the category (taxonomy) page and see it works well but doesn't show any associated posts. Can you please share the taxonomy listing page in the admin area? I think it is admin area > issue330 > topics.
I also suggest you follow some troubleshooting steps below and see if it helps:
- go to Settings > Permalinks > Re-save permalink.
- deactivate all plugins except Meta Box plugins, switch to a WordPress theme.September 11, 2025 at 10:07 PM #48974[email protected]
ParticipantHi Peter,
thanks you very much for taking the time to reply. Here are links to screenshots of some of the things you have asked about:

https://openhouse.websitesforchurches.org/wp-content/uploads/E-Issue-330-Topics.png
Do these look correct? Since I wrote my initial question I've removed all of the Categories from 'Posts' as I was unsure if they share the same slugs, and therefore caused a problem. I think taxonomies take the place of categories - is that correct?
If everything is correct, though, how do I get a menu of topics to show in the sidebar? I can only seem to add widgets, and there is no widget I can find for displaying MB Taxonomies.
The site is now totally stripped down to only the Twenty Twenty Theme and Meta Box so it looks a mess! I had been using the Astra Theme with the Astra Pro plugin and the Beaver Builder Standard page builder. Sorry to say I've never got the hang of the Block Builder so don't know much about adding a sidebar etc in this view.
Does any of this help and would it be useful if you had administrator access to the site? You may not offer that but I'm happy to do so if it helps me move this forward.
Very many thanks for helping,
Chris

ModeratorHello Chris,
All the settings look good. I don't see any issue with them. Please share your site admin account and FTP by submitting this contact form https://metabox.io/contact/
I will take a look.
