I created a CPT called 'documents' with the slug 'documents.' I changed the slug to 'document' and now all of the posts disappear in the WordPress backend. However, the post are still available on the front end. Changing it back does restore them on the back end, but is there a way change the slug without losing posts?

Ultimately, I need to use 'documents' for another purpose.

    Hello,

You can create a new post type with the slug "document" and use the plugin Post Type Switcher to move all posts to the new post type https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/
