Columns extension creates rows (with bottom margins) for hidden fields

I'm using the AIO version of Meta Box. I noticed that if a meta box contains any fields that use the columns parameter, the Meta Box Columns extension creates a row (which has a bottom margin) for every field regardless of whether that field uses the columns parameter or not. That's not a big deal, except rows with bottom margins are also generated for all hidden fields. Is there a way to prevent this? Hidden fields shouldn't result in anything that affects the layout, like margins.
