I used to use Pods and could edit the CPT settings (for example change the singular or plural names if necessary).

However, when do this using Metabox, I lose all my posts within the CPT. If I change the name back then all the posts appear again.

    What am I missing?

    Hi Harry,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Please follow this article to move custom post types, custom fields from Pods or ACF to Meta Box https://metabox.io/move-custom-post-type-custom-field-data-from-pods-to-meta-box/.

Hi Long - apologies for the confusion but I'm talking about native Metabox CPTs.

I create a CPT using Metabox and everything works normally, I can write posts using that CPT and everything is great.

However, if I later edit the CPT names (for example, perhaps I might want to change the chosen plural name so I edit it in Metabox and update). When I go back to the CPT in WP admin all the posts have disappeared. If I change the edit back then the CPT posts are returned.

I have tried re-saving permalinks but that doesn't solve the porblem.

    Hi Harry,

If you read more on the article https://metabox.io/move-custom-post-type-custom-field-data-from-pods-to-meta-box/, you can see that we use the slug to move the CPT. So you can change the Plural name, Singular name to another but you have to keep the current slug to make the current posts available.

Thanks so much Long - I knew there would be something logical to explain it. Makes perfect sense. Many thanks for your help.

    Harry
