Custom Field wont save

    Hello,

    I created a custom post type, in which I put several custom fields. Unfortunately, when I try to modify my custom fields and click on "update", nothing is saved. When I refresh the page, all the information in my custom fields has disappeared.

    I did check the "Save data in a custom table" box.
    And I've increased the number of max_input_vars, but that doesn't change anything.

    Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

    Hello Steve,

    I did check the "Save data in a custom table" box.

    Can you check if the custom table is created in the database? And make sure the column titles match the field IDs in the field group.

    Hi Steve,

    There is a problem with the metabox builder. I am also having trouble saving on many sites.

    If the "Save field value" is turned off in the Advanced section of each field, it will not save.

    This field was added suddenly in a recent version, and many fields that have existed for a long time have it turned off. Please be aware of this.
    * Support said that it is ON by default if you create a new file with the latest version.

    We believe it is safer to set this in PHP instead of using the builder if there are many fields to support, since there could be problems related to saving with each version upgrade due to React support, etc.

    Hi Steve,

    I think you can save the aforementioned once you put it behind you and use the latest version of WordPress, please try it once.

    Hello Steve,

    There are two issues on your site:

    1. The table name is not added in the field group settings.
    2. Unknown issue with Cuisine and restaurent-tags taxonomies. I move it to the trash and restore it back.

    Then I can save the field value to the custom table as well.
