    I was trying to add a URL type when it seemed to crash and un-assign the customer post from the customer fields.
    Custom Field Types
    Post Type Assignment

    Now I cannot re-assign the Custom Fields back to the CPT or add any other URL fields into the custom fields group

    Hello Thomas,

    You can try to follow this tutorial to increase the PHP setting max_input_vars to fix the issue

    Oh wowo that was it!

    Thanks Peter, that is something that has happened to me in the past with other sites. But It've just created new custom field groups thinking it was a limit that could not be changed.
