ParticipantI have a couple of field groups that I want in the sidebar. I have them set to show in the sidebar, but this setting is not being respected and remains showing in the main content section. What can I do to fix this?

ModeratorHello,
Thanks for reaching out.
If the field group (meta box) on the post editing page has been moved between the sidebar and under the main content, the position of the meta box will be saved to the user meta and the field group setting will not work. You can click on the arrow icon to change its position, see this screenshot https://imgur.com/RVsQ05a

ParticipantYes, I know how the arrows work, but that's not what I'm referring to. There are certain field groups I want in the sidebar and not in the main content. I have the setting correct in custom fields, but it is not working. (Note: there were two yesterday that this was happening with---somehow one of them is now in the proper place. Not sure what the deal is. I cleared cache yesterday multiple times. They are being very stubborn).
On another note, the fields are constantly moving in my admin (up and down to different sections). Why is that?

Can you please create a new field group and see where it displays on the editing page?

Please share some screenshots or a screen record of the issue.
Thank you.

ModeratorHello,
I don't see that issue on my demo site when using the Classic Editor, as in your screenshot. Please check this https://imgur.com/a/rNdSx42
Also, if you use the Classic Editor, you can easily drag and drop meta boxes to change the position instead of using the arrow icon.

ParticipantI feel like we are going in circles. This applies to both Classic and Gutenberg as you can see from my screenshot showing Gutenberg this time.
