I set up a custom field checkbox called ages and then added 0-12, 13-17, 18-59, and 60+ - added all my CPTS by hand because I couldn't import via a spreadsheet.

Then I edited the options to look like this: 0-12 (children), 13-17 (teenagers), 18-59 (adults), and 60+ (seniors).

This didn't RENAME them - it REPLACED them. The old option names are still in the database but not in the admin areas or on the CPTs. It wiped out all the selections on 96 CPTS for that custom field and since they are not in the admin area at all - I can't even remove them without going into the database.

I went back into the custom field and removed the changes and everything is back to normal but there has to be a way to change a CF checkbox option without having to go into the database.

    Hello,

You should follow the suggested format of the option when creating them: value: Label. I think you only add the option like this:

    0-12
    13-17
    18-59

    Now please change it to:

    0-12: 0-12 (children)
    13-17: 13-17 (teenagers)
    18-59: 18-59 (adults)

    and see if it helps.

Thank you - I changed it and it works so much better now. The instructions said I could do it either way so I chose the simplest. lol Live and Learn. 🙂
