Label is always besides input. It's the default behavior and there's no options to change it. Perhaps I misunderstood. Can you give an example in MB Template vs MB Builder?
If I create a field using the building, when I go to edit a post the label displays on top of the field, but if I create the same field using a template, when I edit the post the label is besides the field which is much more compact.

Could it be related to the columns addon? I had accidentally set a col and then since there is no way to unselect an options I set it to 12, which I was the same as default.

That's right. When columns are set, the label is automatically displayed above the input, to prevents the layout break.
I'll check the Builder to fix the issue with selection.

Yeah, as long as you could deselect a col it would be great.
Just to confirm I mean a single metabox in a field group was temporarily set with a column, and there was no way to remove it so I set it to 12. After that all meta boxes in that field group have labels on top.
It's just cosmetic, so not urgent, but looking forward to the ability to delselect the col.
