Support Forum
Hello,
I built my website with elementor and MB. So now, the suers can register, login, can publish custom posts. They have a dashboard.
Now, I would like to better manage this: limit access to some part of the site based on the user roles, make them pay to post or access some posts.
I tried some membership plugins that I had but they're not compatible (whishlist, WP user frontend pro).
I found many membership plugins on the web, they all integrate with ACF, but they never mention MB.
Do you know what membership plugin integrates with Metabox? Do you recommend some plugins which work well with metabox to bring some membership features? (like access restriction, payment...)
Thank you.
Hi,
I have not used the membership plugin type like that but you can try to use Members or User Role Editor plugin to limit access for user roles.

Hi,
thank you for your answer.
I'll be more clear with my request.
I followed your tuto to create of listing/ads website where the users can post and edit their listing/ads.
Now, I would like to charge them, either for each post, or with packages, or with memberships.
There are membserhsips plugins which can do that, but they're not integrated with you (for example, WP-front-user-pro), so I cannot use them to charge the user for posting custom posts the plugin does not see.
Do you know if with woocomerce, I could charge the user to publish/edit posts?
Thank you.
Hi,
It sounds you want a plugin like Multi-Vendor https://woocommerce.com/products/product-vendors/ for WooCommerce. You can contact Woo support to ask for help in this case.
We also have a plugin Auto Listings and extension Frontend which help you to sell the package and limit posts to the dealer (user) https://wpautolistings.com/docs/extension-frontend/
Hi,
Thanks for your answer but you missed my point.
My point is that thanks to metabox, we can create custom listing website where the users can publish their listing.
It's great.
Now, what is missing is a way to make them pay to post their listing.
You suggested a plugin which creates listing. What's the point of using metabox then?
Coming back to metabox, is there a way to add a payment module to the form we create? So the user can pay when he/she submits the post?
Hi,
The plugin Auto Listings is built based on Meta Box, so the forms (register, login, dashboard), fields work as you use the Meta Box on your site.
You can see on the documentation, you can sell the package (5, 10, 15 items) via PayPal then allow the customer to post the number of listings based on the package.
Hello,
It's a good news that it's possible to create listing with MB.
The issue is that AUto-listing is too much specific to Auto. I don't want anything related to auto on my website. In addtion, I bought Metabox to avoid installing a listing plugin. I don't want to install a new plugin, just to buy an addon.
Why don't you create a payment module for MB? (even as a premium addon)? or explain how to implement it as a complement to your case study: https://metabox.io/create-classified-ads-website-using-meta-box/?fbclid=IwAR0FkM0wiaqc52Nfj0YFtIGwwzcX3tRSTx_pqAS1zfFnaBaEs7ILZgFap9c
I think that I'm not alone to be interested by this feature.

Thanks for your feedback.
I will inform the development team to explore the possibility.
You can actually reference a Meta Box Custom Field in WP Frontend User Pro.
First, in Meta Box, get the ID of the custom field.
Then, in WP Frontend User, go under Post Forms and edit the Form you want to use. Add a custom field to the form and take the ID from the Meta Box custom field and put it in the Meta Key field. Your new custom field in WP Frontend User will now save into the custom field you created in Meta Box. I hope this helps.
Thank you very much Kyle. I will try again !
Hi There, jumping into the conversation as I'm facing the same issue.
I've been looking for a solution to add the listing payment, but unfortunately, no solution is actually good! You always have to deal with unwanted or duplicated features, etc.
Being able to set up some payment options using MB Frontend would be great! No need for other subscription plugins anymore.
Now I get that it's not something Metabox wants to develop, but maybe working with a company to make sure their plugin does support Metabox would be a good way to start.
looking for the same here, the payment option is fundamental for post form, I almost going to buy the paid version, but just noticed there is no payment option which holding me back.
+1 - MB guys (and gals?), payments are the last missing major feature (besides Captcha V2 to keep away registration bots)...at minimum, offer Paypal, as you've done a version for your AutoListings plugin (which nobody here wants to purchase and modify - that's a totally different customer than your core MB members). From there, MB users can use for pay-to-post or code it for memberships (although, you might as well bring that over membership AutoListings feature too).
