ParticipantI have a frontend submission form in a website that worked fine. Submissions aren't the problem. Editing them after submission is a problem. I'm getting the rwmb-error 'you're not allowed to edit this post'. I use the Bricks form element for MB. The form settings haven't changed and it used to work fine. It isn't working for all the roles.

ModeratorHello,
If you use the MB frontend shortcodes to show the form and dashboard in the frontend without using Bricks, do they work on your site? Please follow the documentation
https://docs.metabox.io/extensions/mb-frontend-submission/
I think the issue arises from the Bricks element itself, not from Meta Box.January 13, 2025 at 3:35 AM #47378Francesco
ParticipantHi there! I have the same issue with Bricks Builder and MetaBox Frontend sumbission form that worked fine.
Did you find out what is wrong with it now? Is it one of the latests Bricks updates that breakes it?January 13, 2025 at 2:43 PM #47380P. Zeylstra
ParticipantI've checked it with Bricks support. This was there answer:
"First of all, I am not very sure why the Meta Box team suggested you to reach us. This doesn't makes sense as the Submission Form element was created by them, totally zero code maintained by Bricks. We got no idea how their form works.
I just checked and compared your form setting in the page, seems like you just need to indicate the object type and it's working fine."
So I checked the object type to 'post' and it is working fine now.

ParticipantThanks a lot for your quick reply P. Zeylstra.
Could you please explain to me how and where to define the object type?
Thanks in advance

ParticipantIt is in the submission form settings. There you will see an option 'Object type'. I'd like to share a screenshot, but can't upload it here.

ParticipantAgain thanks P. Zeylstra. for your help, I really appreciated it!
I added the “Object type” option and set it to post for the frontend dashboard shortcode but it finally turned out that the “Edit page” option (ID of the editing page) was changed. Don't know why but in this case this was the issue.
Thanks again.
Best regards.March 21, 2025 at 9:19 PM #47885P. Zeylstra
ParticipantThis issue persists. New website and AGAIN this issue. Post type doesn't solve it. @Fransesco you mentioned in your last answer the ID of the editing page. Where can I find that and correct that?

ParticipantHi Zeylstra, in my website the MetaBox Frontend Submission Shortcode (example "[mb_frontend_dashboard edit_page="318" ...... ") the edit_page ID was wrong: it seems like with an update it was changed...
I can't explain why but this was the solution to my issue.March 21, 2025 at 9:48 PM #47887P. Zeylstra
ParticipantAh, thank you. I'll look into that.
