    Hi -
I'm just getting started with MB. I created a custom post type and created custom fields. I then copied all code over to a new site in child functions.php file and activated the required free metabox plugin.

The issue is that the custom fields that use the premium plugin functionality are not displaying on the new site. Is this normal? Shouldn't they display or am I required to upload the premium plugins to new site for it to work?

I was under the assumption that I could load / work on my local dev site (with all free & premium) plugins active - then once I create what I needed, copy all required code over to new sites functions.php file?

    Am I missing something?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Brian,

You still need the premium plugins activated on the website to make the code work. The generated code is the work you want the plugins to do for you. And the whole process behind needs the premium plugins. If you want to keep the plugin list short, you can use the Meta Box AIO plugin. It has all free and premium plugins inside.

    Hi Anh,
Thanks for the reply and clearing that up for me - I was confused but makes sense now.

Regarding your AIO plugin, I did have that installed on my local dev but it never picked up any updates from you all. I normally don't have issues with receiving plugin update but for whatever reason your AIO plugin never allowed for updates (and there were at least 3 plugins that needed an update).

So I removed the AIO plugin and installed all individually and uploaded the "meta box updater" plugin. Now today it's saying I need to update the "meta box template" plugin but the version numbers are the exact same. Any issues on your end? I don't believe it's a cache issue either. See screenshot: https://cl.ly/3eef1610a332

I'll try your AIO plugin one more time - just needing it to pick up the updates.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Brian,

Thanks a lot for your feedback about the Template extension. It was a typo mistake (duplicated "Version" text).

I've fixed and updated Meta Box AIO. Please update.
