    Hi, I’m using MetaBox Relationships with WPML. I have a relationship between two CPTs (Tours → FAQs). Everything is working in the default language, but translated posts do not show any related items. The relationship fields are empty in the translated version, even though both posts are translated.

    Here’s what I’ve already done:
    Set the relationship field to “Copy once” in WPML settings
    Disabled translation of the relationship definition itself
    Ensured all related posts are fully translated and published
    Using Classic Editor and MetaBox UI to manage relationships

    Still, the translated Tours don’t show or allow selection of translated FAQs.

    What’s the correct way to make MetaBox relationships show up and work properly in WPML translations?

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Relationship is not a field to use the translation setting "Copy once" with WPML. It is a separate meta box on the post editing page. When you edit or create a translation post, you can select the translation relationship post as well. Please check this screenshot https://ibb.co/sXhKvdg

    Thank you for the answer. I am not sure I understand. Do you mean I have to translate the post independently and can't use the Advanced Translation Editor. Otherwise, I don't know how I would be able to choose these related posts.

    Hello,

    I'm not sure about the Advanced Translation Editor, but the relationship is not a custom field so it might not work with that editor. You can manually select the translation relation post when using the WordPress editor.

    Isn't there a way to just have the same related posts assigned to the translation automatically? That would be handy because usually the same items as the original are related to the translation.

    I'm afraid that there isn't a way to have the same or translation related post assigned to the translation post automatically. You can contact WPML support and ask them for more information.
