    Hi,

    Is it possible show the author of posts in the admin screen list of posts without adding support for the author field? I don't want the creator of a post to be able to pick a different author which is what happens when I add support for the author field to the CPT. All I want to do is to show in the list of CPT posts who created each one.

    Hello Lydia,

    You can create a text field and set author as the field ID, enable option "Disabled" and "Show in admin column" to prevent editing the field and show the author in the admin column. Screenshot https://monosnap.com/file/G24M5UD1kHvFW5Qbb8JIm1WXQCfvP4
