show date in backend as d-m-Y - Meta Box

I have a date field with save Format: d-m-Y
but when i add a date with a date picker it shows as 2019-07-11
How can i display to authors the correct format in admin area? as d-m-Y.

Hi,

You can use the Datepicker Options in the Builder to show the format date. Screenshot https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAuDB0By.

There is no format Y, it should be d-m-y. Get more details on the documentation

Y as 'save_format' => 'Y-m-d', is it a mistake?
In your screenshot your not using the save format, should it be empty?

Hi Felix,

You should use the format 'save_format' => 'y-m-d'. Use the setting save_format if you want to show the date in a format and save the value in the database in another format. Get more details here https://docs.metabox.io/fields/date/#saving-dates-in-another-format.
