Is it just something with my setup, or do the taxonomy fields not display the hierarchy of the taxonomy they are there for? For instance, I have a Document_Type taxonomy with the following hierarchy:

    Community Development
    - Forms
    - Permits
    City Council
    - Minutes
    - Agenda

But in the Dashboard screen to add a new document, the taxonomy field is flat like this:

    Agenda
    City Council
    Community Development
    Forms
    Minutes
    Permits

This makes it very difficult to use.

I have tried setting the Type to both Taxonomy and Taxonomy Advanced
I have every Field Type available

I'm in the latest version of WordPress, Bricks Builder, Automatic CSS and MB AIO. I tried it on both Firefox Dev Edition and Vivaldi (Chromium) on my Mac M1.

    Hello Matthew,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The taxonomy field of Meta Box doesn't work the same as the default taxonomy meta box of WordPress to show hierarchy terms. But you can use the field type checkbox tree to show the child terms when clicking on the parent term. Please check this screenshot https://imgur.com/SPlEPUF
    and follow the documentation https://docs.metabox.io/fields/taxonomy/

Thanks. I was hoping for something more like the one in the sidebar, but this will work.
