Text limit in Metaboxes - Meta Box

I use the plugin "Meta Box Text Limiter" to limit the number of characters in textareas (limit_type character). When I use mutated vowels (umlauts) like ä, ö, ü etc. they will be counted as 2 characters. While writting in the backend the countig seems to be correct. Each character, including umlauts, is counted as 1. But in the frontend the text is cut down at the end by the number of umlauts. Is there a way to fix this issue? It is very irritating.

Hi, thanks for letting me know. The problem is the PHP function I used doesn't work with the multi-bytes languages. I've just fixed it and updated the plugin, please update.
