Troubling getting output

I've looked at the documentation for outputting data from nested groups and I'm just not able to wrap my head around it. Any chance someone could help? I've the following groups and fields:

skill_set (group)
--skill_grouping (group)
----skill_area (text)
----skill_pair (group)
------skill_name (text)
------skill_value (number)
