1970 date on empty fields

Was there ever a resolution to this issue? https://support.metabox.io/topic/date-field-connection-shows-1970-when-no-date-is-set/

I'm having the same thing. I use Bricks Builder and for fields with no date, it's outputting the 1970 date.
