    Hi:

    Using the filter mentioned in this thread (https://support.metabox.io/topic/access-a-field-before-saving/) works to get the value of a field before its saved. At least on text fields. The filter doesn't seem to be called on fields of file-input? Is that by design? Or maybe I need a different filter for file input fields?

    Actually, ignore this. The issue seems to be related to file extensions. I'll update this with an updated question soon.
