    What I am looking to do is have the fields such as AutoComplete and Select Advanced but with the ability to add an option that is not currently in the list. Any way to do that with the Builder? For example, you type the option you are looking for but when you reach the last character and it does not exist, I could add that option.

    Hi,

    As I understand, you want to add an option for the field when editing the post/page. It is impossible, the field autocomplete or select_advanced only supports to show the list options on the post/page which are predefined in the Builder.

    Correct. Then I'll make it a feature request. I've seen it done elsewhere. Instead of the "No Results Found" as it currently is when you type an entry name that did not exist, I just kept the entry name there and it added it to the list upon Save/Submit.

    I am re-checking this... I understand the Advanced Select is strictly for selecting but for the AutoComplete, one would think it would add a new entry if it's not found as you type.

    So... I was just at eBay and noticed they do have a select input with the ability to add new data to it and it's what I am looking for. Can this be done in Meta Box using custom code since the builder cannot do it? See link below.

    Ok, I've created a feature request to support adding a new option to the list options if the text does not available in the current list options.

    That would be epic as this is my biggest ask! I know I have been asking a lot of questions but I have tried all of the other plugins that do something similar but Meta Box seems like it may fit my needs and the support has been great!

    A nice additional option would be to suppress the search result (but not the "Add New" option). Why? For certain situations, like a UPC field, it's not helpful to the user to show a bunch of digits as you type.
