Hello, just looking for a bit of advice really, I am trying to achieve a 'layout' like the following:

The website offers services, and then there are sub-services that are types of service. I am sure this must be a fairly common type.

    Eg:

    Services
        - Environmental
             - Sub Service 1
             - Sub Service 2
        - Ground Work
             - Sub Service 1
             - Sub Service 2
             - Sub Service 3

I would like to keep it all editable within the CMS, and not have for example, 'Environmental' as a custom post type, but I am now thinking maybe I will have to?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out.

What the sub-services are? If they are posts, I think there are two ways you can do:
    Create 1 post type service.

    • Environmental and Ground Work are taxonomies of the post type service. Create posts sub-services and assign each one to a taxonomy/term.

    • Environmental and Ground Work are parent posts, sub-services are child posts. You can assign each one to a parent post.

    Hey, thanks for your response.

I guess it does not matter if the sub-services are posts or pages, but they will be just more services that the business offers, so I guess they are more suitable to be pages, as they will be information-based.
