Custom Post Type Category Slug?

Hi
I have a custom post type called rareiqs
I have the standard wordpress category taxonomy attached to it. One category is called cardiology
what would the cpt > category archive url be?

Ive tried
domain.com/rareiqs/category/cardiology page not found
no combination I've tried seems to work.

we managed to get it working with a query param.
https://rareiqs.raremedicalnews.com/category/dermatology/?post_type=rareiqs
the posts on the page are correctly filtered.
But... we'd really like to do this without the query param
Any ideas on how to accomplish that?

Hello David,

You can use the custom rewrite URL to add the CPT slug to the term URL. Go to Meta Box > Taxonomies > Edit the taxonomy > Advanced tab > Custom rewrite slug. Please check this screenshot https://imgur.com/BfQ23IH

Thanks Peter...
But the taxonomy we are using is not a metabox custom taxonomy. It is the standard WP categories.

Hello,

In this case, it is beyond our scope of support. You can use the filter hook register_taxonomy_args to modify the argument of a taxonomy. Here is an example https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34977582/how-to-filter-taxonomy-args-with-register-taxonomy-args-wordpress
