We would like to suggest an enhancement to the "Priority" setting in the Field Group editor. Currently, the Settings → Priority option provides only "High" and "Low" choices. This is limiting when multiple field groups (e.g., 5 or more) are assigned to a post type, as it does not allow fine-tuned control over their default order.
Proposed Solution:
- Expand the existing "Priority" options to allow more granular levels, or
- Introduce a new "Extended Priority" field, where users can set a numerical priority (e.g., 1–99) to define the precise ordering of field groups.
Why is this important?
- The current High/Low options are insufficient when dealing with multiple field groups.
- While users can manually rearrange panels in the post edit screen, it would be beneficial to have full control over the default order programmatically.
