Filter rwmb_frontend_validate not working correctly with Ajax submission - Meta Box

Using the rwmb_frontend_validate filter in combination with ajax submission is not working correctly.

If the filter returns an error the post is not saved, but the user sees the confirmation message anyway. The error returned by the filter is only show when the page is refreshed.
