    Hi

    I have created Custom Field of the type "Checkbox List" for a Custom Post Type "Talents", and also added some choices.

    Now the editor is asking me, how to add more choices when she is working in a Talents post, or edit existing choices. Editors are not allowed to access any Meta Box items in the Dashboard.

    How can I extend this Checkbox List field so that the Editor can edit existing choices and add new ones? I had tried to enable "Cloning", but then all previously added values/choices are not showing any more.

    Need help urgently 🙏

    Hello,

    I'm afraid that it's not possible. Only the administrator can access the field group in the admin area to add more choices.

    That's too bad 🙁 Like really really bad ...

    Can you recommend on another solution or workaround, which allows editors to add choices?

    Hello,

    You can upgrade the user role to the administrator or use the plugin User Role Editor to set the capability of the user to have the same capability as the administrator.
