Metabox breaks when adding additional fields in Field Group - Meta Box

I'm trying to figure out how to troubleshoot the issue I'm experiencing. I believe I'm hitting some limitation to the amount of fields allowed in a Field Group. My field group is using a custom post type and whenever I add any additional fields above the fields already defined the values in the Settings tab of the Field Group are wiped out. If I try to re-add the values in the Setting tab and save. It wipes them out again. BUT, if I remove the newly added field, then update the values in the Settings tab and save, then the settings persist.

I found the fix. It's to increase the max_input_vars in php.ini.
