I am investigating options to achieve the very best performance for a high-traffic site when using Metabox and its related extensions. The solution will have several CPT's and use 3-4 of the MB Extensions for part of the build.
I believe there are x3 usage options:
1) Use Metabox AIO plugin with the required 3-4 extensions checked "on".
2) Use the Metabox FREE plugin with the individual 3-4 extensions as plugins.
3) Use Composer to add the Metabox plugins and extensions I need.
I am looking to minimise bloat, use the minimum number of dependencies for my build, and get the best performance.
Q1) Have you ever implemented any performance benchmarking for these different approaches?
Q2) Is there a "best" solution?
Any advice appreciated 🙂
