    Hello,

I have trouble displaying special characters inside the relationship fields of my CPTs.

    My CPTs names are:

    • Přihláška
    • Místo
    • Termín kurzu
    • Kurz

All of them, except the last one have troubles when displayed in the relationship fields. For example instead of "Select a přihláška" I see "Select a p?ihl??ka".

Strangely enough, in some cases the diacritic is correct and sometimes not, e.g. "termín kurzu" is sometimes displayed correctly and sometimes like this "term?n kurzu".

It seems that this problem is related solely to the Relationship fields, everywhere else the names are ok.

Could you please look into it?

    Thanks
    Petr

    Hi,

On my demo site, the words with diacritics display as well, screenshot https://monosnap.com/file/Kk3rc0lCWdrmEPCnAq52oAjlQ2MMYD

Reload the page or change the site language do not affect the post title in the relationship box.

    Hi Long,

Oh, I probably didn't make myself clear enough - the problem wasn't with the names of the posts. The issue showed up only in placeholders displaying the name of the CPTs.

    Please check it out here:

    Hi,

I've tested again on my site, one is a post field, one is a relationship.
    https://monosnap.com/file/EwEhkuZuJeYwXx3OTlbjcle7XcwOaT

It shows the name of the CPT as well.

    Hi Long,

Today I've updated to MB 5.6.1 and it seems the diacritic is OK now.

The only item in the change log is "Fix compatibility for PHP < 7.3", could it be related?

My test site is on localhost, PHP 7.2.1 (I wasn't it using it much lately, so I was lazy to update it).

    Thanks
    Petr
