ParticipantI can't find any field similar to WordPress native link popup (the same you find in WYSIWYG editor buttons – even in this support topic).
I'm looking for a field similar to ACF Link Field.
The Link field allows a link to be selected or defined (url, title, target) by using the native WordPress link popup.
It should optionally return an array of Link data (url, title, target) or the Link URL (string).
It's very useful to create relations with internal resources (posts, terms or other contents, also thanks to the powerful Better Internal Link Search, which includes taxonomies within search results).
To achieve the same you currently need to create a complex group of fields, with a Select field to choose between Post or Taxonomy or URL (external link) field + a Text field for custom link title + a Checkbox field for custom link target.
Is Link field already in your road map?
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Davide,
We don't have a link field yet. There are not many people asking for this. However, I've put it in our to-do list.

ParticipantHi Ahn,
is it possible to have an estimate of the release date?
I'm switching to Meta Box on several projects and I need to migrate ACF link field to something similar.

KeymasterHi Davide,
I'm afraid I can't give you an estimate at the moment. We have quite a long to-do list and this feature has less priority than some other items.

ParticipantI was wondering if it was possible to get the WordPress link dialog added into the core?
It would make a really useful addition to the toolset. Currently to have a custom link area you have to define a text box for the button or link text and also define a URL box. The downside to this method is that the end user must enter the full URL of the destination.
With the WP link box the user can easily select the destination if it is internal or enter the full URL if it is a rarer external link.
I have included a screenshot of the dialog box I mean.
Sorry if this is already built in somewhere, I couldn't find it in the documentation.

KeymasterHi,
It's not available in the plugin yet. There was a request to add it. I'll merge this topic into the older topic so we'll have discussion on the same place.

ParticipantI am also looking for this, for the same case as the @SLG Marketing described. There is a button for which the user needs to specify text, link (internal or external) and target (if external).
Gutenberg uses an autocomplete for links, while classic editor (and ACF link field) uses the link selection modal. The primary benefit is that it handles both internal and external links; a user can select a post/page/etc OR enter a URL.

ParticipantI was wondering whether any progress had been made on this?
It would be very useful for our non-technical users.

ParticipantStill no ETA or information about this? Kind of sad, I have a client that I am sure it'll ask for it in a few days 😊

ParticipantStrange enough that Metabox don't have such basic thing in comparison with ACF. Any plans for implement? Would be nice update for URL field.

Participant+1 @Anh-Tran - this is definitely a feature a lot of people want. Why is it not part of the core plugin after 4 years?

ParticipantYes, an url field with internal link suggestions would be great!
Setting internal links by copy & paste is not very smart.
Any news about that feature?
Thanks. -
