Hi there!
I was wondering if it is possible to get a word count bar or something similar with every TinyMCE wysiwyg editor meta box.
Wordpress offers this function to the "content" editor, but it is absent from meta boxes. Is there a way to get this done?

Hi Jasper,
Unfortunately, it's not available yet. If you're using textarea or text field, you can have similar functionality with Text Limiter extension.

I know this has been a while on this. Is there any update on this feature? Looks like CMB2 does it this way: https://github.com/CMB2/CMB2-Snippet-Library/blob/master/misc/adding-wordcount-to-cmb2-wysiwyg-field.php
But I'm struggling to adapt that code to Metabox. Any help would be great. Thanks!
