CPT posts not showing in the author results

Hi,

I created a custom post type for Journals, everything works fine, but the author post results exclude the Journal results. Is there a disconnect somehow?

I made a video showing what I mean.

Here is the link to the page and example:
https://test.cbmw.refsites.com/author/colin-smothers/ (this says 79 posts, but only includes the normal WP posts, not the journal posts. There are only 69 that come up in the results.

What can I do to show all the results for each author?

Hello Eric,

What is the query for showing posts on the author page? Is this supported by the theme Blocksy that you are using? I think you can ask the theme support to add more post types to the query to show Journals posts on the author page.

Hi Peter,

I sent this to them to and i'll ask them that. I wanted to reach out to you also because I wasn't sure if there was a way to connect the CPT to the user ID that I select for the Journal. Like I show in the video, it detects that the author has both post types, but doesn't show in the results, nor in the user post count.

just another example I want to show. You can see this author has 4 posts (journal posts) assigned to him, but they don't show in the results

I was in contact with the theme developer and they offered a code snippet solution. They are discussing whether to implement it into the theme code.

this is what they gave me and it worked for Blocksy
