Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
Previously used CPT UI.
Now using Metabox AIO.
Basic thing:
1. Adding CPT (e.g. Portfolio). Only slug and publish. Default setting. — It's work.
2. Adding Post to Portfolio. Only Title and publish. — It's also ok.
3. Then I trying to change «Custom archive slug» (e.g. Projects) in Advanced tab — doesn't work. Permalink has default slug Portfolio in this case. «Has archive» is on.
If I change «Custom rewrite slug» option both permalinks changing. Archive and Post.
Permalinks setting in «Settings > Permalinks» also re-save after make changes.
Make clean install of WordPress — same trouble.
No caching plugin installed.
Metabox and Metabox AIO — latest versions.
With CPT UI plugin at the same WordPress install everything works as expected without problem.
It feels like I'm doing something wrong… or not 😅
Thanks for advice.
Hi Eugene,
Please try to use the option Custom rewrite slug
to change the archive slug. Screenshot https://imgur.com/vx4cQjW.
Let me know how it goes.
Hi,
That function works, as I said before.
I change it to «portfolio-item» for example. — https://imgur.com/a/yPWe67Z
Now archive url changes to mysite/portfolio-item/
and posts url also changes.
Then if I change «Custom archive slug» option to «projects» for example — nothing happens.

Archive and posts urls are the same — portfolio-item.
If I remove «Custom rewrite slug» everything reverts to default CPT slug.
Hi,
Thank you for your explaination.
I've informed the development team to check this issue and get back to you later.
Any info about issue?
Hi,
This issue has been fixed in the new version 2.2.1. Please update this plugin and re-check the issue.
Manually updated CPT plugin inside AIO package — now it works 🙂
It seems I chose the wrong forum for the issue description.
CPT inside Metabox AIO will also be fixed with next update?
Thank you.
