    I tied custom fields to a page template. Whehn creating a new Page after switching my page from the default template to the template I tied the custom fields to they won't show up. I need to publish first and then hit reload in my browser. This feels counterintuitive to me.

    Hi Aaron,

    The extension MB Include Exclude helps you to load meta boxes based on the condition. If you change the template of the page, you need to save and reload the page to show meta boxes.

    You can use other extensions like MB Conditional Logic or MB Show Hide to show/hide meta boxes based on the condition, remember the meta boxes always loaded when using these extensions.
