Hi - Ok for file advanced in Group.

But do you expect to do this with file 'only" type ?

Because i don't need to open WP Media Manager... or is there a way with file_advanced to browse directly on computer ?

    Thank U !

    Hi Sinusite,

You can use native file input with file field. It's the default browser file input, which allows us to select files from computer only.

    Hi Anh,

    yeah, that's correct thank you.
But when using in a group, i got a warning (when a new post is created) :

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in ...\wp-content\plugins\meta-box\inc\fields\file.php on line 156

but especially i don't have the beautiful preview & edit link wanted after saving 🙂

Thanks for the error, I will check it.

The file field, of course, doesn't have good UI. I will search to see if the WordPress media can force users to select files from the computer. If there's a solution for that, I will add to the file_advanced field.

But wait... the UI is OK in my case in fact.
The problem is the thumnnnail preview and edit/delete links which are not working when file type is in a group.
(but ok when using it with "classic" fields)

    Hi again,

Just wonder why don't you use plupload_image field? It has nice UI and allows you to select files from your computer. I forgot about this 🙂
