    Hello,

I'm using WPML with Meta Box and I'm trying to figure the way to have all my MB custom fields inside my MB setting page translated.

Here's my setting page in FR: https://markuphero.com/share/bYBIlCVnCxRr2xTOSelk
And when I go to the EN and modify my text field like so:https://markuphero.com/share/0qX9TZ4tZ3Sym39K0Gkr
And return back to FR: it seems that all the fields are the same for all languages.

How can I translate those fields like I can with MB fields within a CPT?

    Thanks!

    Hello Adrien,

You can follow the topic below to create custom code to translate the custom fields on a settings page (like theme option)
    https://support.metabox.io/topic/wmpl-how-to-translate-option-pages/

The premium extensions of Meta Box are not compatible with WPML fully so there isn't an option to translate those fields by default.

    Hello Peter,

Thank you for the guidance on translating custom fields in the settings page using the wpml-config.xml. However, considering our frequent updates and the dynamic nature of fields in our settings pages, manually editing the wpml-config.xml file every time we introduce a new field would be quite cumbersome and prone to errors. This approach doesn't seem scalable or efficient in a fast-paced development environment.

Is this something that Meta Box is currently working on to improve, or is there a more dynamic way to handle translations for these custom fields, perhaps through an API or a hook provided by WPML or Meta Box, that can dynamically register these fields for translation as they are created or modified?

Thanks for your support and looking forward to your suggestions on a more streamlined approach.

Yes, our development team is working with the WPML dev team to make both plugins compatible. Hopefully, the compatibility will be released soon.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
