    I have an image field in a frontend submission form. Users do not have media library access. When the user edits a post using the frontend submission form, the image field (which already has an image that was uploaded previously) shows the edit link (pencil icon). Clicking the edit link just opens the same page the edit form is on in a new tab.

    If the current user does not have the permissions/capabilities to edit the image in the media library then shouldn't the edit icon not appear at all?

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for your feedback. It's a good addition to the plugin. I'll do that in the next version.
