    I use Metabox for all of my CPT + custom field development, and for the most part, it's been great.

    But the one thing that continues to frustrate me is having to use something completely different _just_ for WooCommerce custom order meta fields (or for that matter - Easy Digital Downloads / EDD custom fields.)

    It would be amazing if Metabox can add:

    – Order Level Meta
    – Order Item Level Meta
    – Order Status

    - Refund Status custom fields/values
    - Order processing custom fields/values

    As well as any other custom Order data elements across the entire checkout/sales lifecycle for both WooCommerce and/or EDD would be appreciated.

    While being able to expose/present those data elements across the whole Metabox suite (MB Views, queryable via Bricks, Builderius, PhantomWP, etc.)

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Meta Box can create custom fields and assign them to WooCommerce Order post type when you disable the HPOS feature of WooCommerce. Can you please confirm this on your site?

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your message, I don't have any legacy WooCommerce sites, all of my stores are HPOS-based as that appears to the more modern standard.

    I'm trying to understand how we can get these custom fields to show up in:

    - At the product page (e.g. condiments to be added to a food item, and their associated cost or other related value)
    - Order meta or order item meta to show up later in the purchase cycle (e.g. at the order bump, checkout page, etc.)
    - Having these order level meta, or order item level meta to show up in the customer's invoice/receipt area
    - In the admin panel / backend for store operators/employees to fulfill each order

    - The goal is to be able to send data in these order meta/item meta fields out to places like a kitchen printer, KDS monitor, or another software either via API, XML, etc. for further processing.

    Would be great to wire all of this up end-to-end, but I did a search and couldn't find any tutorials or any posts around Metabox + WooCommerce Order / Order Item level custom fields/values.

    Hello,

    There isn't a complete solution with clear steps for any specific case when using Meta Box. However, you can refer to some tutorials in our documentation to use Meta Box to create custom fields for post types and use code or a page builder to output values in the frontend.
