    Hi,

    As explained at https://metabox.io/translate-custom-fields-with-wpml/, I set some of my custom fields to "Translate" within the Custom Fields Translation settings of WPML.

    There are a few fields that don't allow me to set them. They are inside a cloneable field group. Some fields in that group need to be translated, others not. None of these fields are listed in WPML, so I can't set them. Only the field group is listed.

    What should I do?

    Hi,

    Currently, WPML is not compatible with the cloneable group. I will inform the development team to consider supporting this feature in future updates.

    Hi Long,

    Ok, thanks. Since Meta Box is compatible with WPML, I expected custom fields to be translatable everywhere: in cloneable groups, settings pages (https://support.metabox.io/topic/translate-fields-in-settings-pages-with-wpml/), views, etc. Our project depends on this.

    1) When will this work? Approximately?
    2) What's a work around in the mean time? Can the entire group be translated, for example, rather than selecting individual fields within the group?
    3) Are there any other limitations currently?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, due to a large number of feature requests, I cannot commit to any specific timelines for the release of the compatibility feature. Hopefully, it will be available soon.

    Hi Long,

    Ok, I understand. I found that ACF supports this for WPML. So, I think it's important for Meta Box to make sure that full compatibility is available soon. Personally I don't think it's new feature, but rather something that's missing despite the claimed compatibility with WPML.

    Two years have passed and still cloneable group does not work with WPML?

    Is this still the case??? Still not possible to translate cloneable field groups. I don't seem to be able to do that.
