I have a field group set to show for user meta which is displayed in a view. The view shows the field group repeatedly for multiple users and is displayed for either the admin role or a new role (supervisor). The field group shows fine for both roles.

When I change values with admin they save properly and are kept. When I save using the Supervisor role the changes are not saved.

I've tried setting a number of relevant seeming permissions but nothing I do seems to have any effect on being able to save the values as the Supervisor role.

Am I missing something in the permissions or should I be doing something else to allow the settings to be saved?

    Hi Martin,

Please try to use the plugin User Role Editor to set the capabilities for the new role and change the value again.

I've been using the role editor part of Members for this which I assume is doing the same thing.

Are there specific capabilities that should be used to allow one user (with the Supervisor role) to be able to edit meta data against another user? As far as I can see I've set everything but may have missed something.

    Hi Martin,

I do not see any issue when setting capabilities for a user role to edit user meta of other users with User Role Editor. Screen record https://share.getcloudapp.com/Qwu26mgB

If it does not work with the Member plugin, you can contact the plugin support to ask for help with this issue.
